In cooperation with the Forest Alliance Armenia, WSL works to combine scientific insights, local knowledge, and inclusive exchange to help Armenian communities understand their forest landscapes and assist them in participating in sustainable forest management and preparing Armenian forests for the impacts of climate change.
This first factsheet addresses local communities living near forest or reforestation areas or engaged with these areas. It aims to promote an understanding of the forest and how to live in harmony with it. It highlights the long-term benefits forests can provide to the population and the human activities that can harm the forest or hinder its development.
